Dr. Christina Bové is a board-certified veterinary cardiologist dedicated to helping pets with heart disease live longer, healthier lives while supporting the veterinary teams who care for them. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and has built a diverse background in emergency medicine, general practice, specialty care, research, leadership, veterinary wellness, and education.

Her postgraduate training includes advanced internship programs, internal medicine training, and preclinical heart failure research, followed by a combined cardiology residency and Master’s degree at Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology).

Dr. Bové has practiced cardiology in specialty, private practice, and mobile settings, and also served as an Internship Director, where she enjoyed mentoring and developing the next generation of veterinarians. Teaching remains one of her greatest passions.

She values collaborative care and works closely with pet owners and referring veterinarians to create thoughtful, individualized treatment plans. Her special interests include congenital heart disease, advanced congestive heart failure, and complex arrhythmias.

Dr. Bové is also passionate about veterinary wellness and sustainable high performance. In addition to her cardiology credentials, she is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and holds certifications through Precision Nutrition in nutrition, sleep, stress, and recovery.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and running with her husband, daughter, and dog, Darcy, while her cat, Izzy, prefers relaxing on the couch.
